Sales Summary by Category

TypeToggle (ON / OFF)
DescriptionControls whether sales data is summarized by product categories in the main reading view.
WHEN ENABLED (ON)
  • Sales data is grouped and displayed by product categories.

The main reading screen shows:

  • Category name
  • Total sales amount per category
  • Quantity or count (if applicable)

Useful for: High-level business analysis.

WHEN DISABLED (OFF)
  • Category summaries are hidden.
  • No category aggregation is displayed in the main reading view.
USER INTERFACE AND DATA IMPACT
  • The main reading interface refreshes instantly.
  • Affects only reports and summary views.
  • This does not affect actual sales data or transactions.
TYPICAL USE CASE
  • Enabled: Management-level overview of category performance.
  • Disabled: When detailed item-level analysis is preferred.
